Problem
A waste logistics company handled many receipts and wanted to take them into its systems without typing them in. The idea was a system that reads receipts on its own, using OCR and AI.
Approach
- I started the research into a system that reads receipts automatically with OCR and AI.
Known gaps
- This was research, and I did not finish a product. I do not claim a working system.
- I do not describe which tools, models or services I looked at.
- I do not know how the research was used after I left, and this page does not say it led to anything.
- There are no measured results, such as how many receipts were read correctly.
